Boo has made it known for sometime that it's time to get a kitten in the house, A little ball of fur running about, climbing on things and making noise. I agree that the house has been very quiet and still the past month, but I didn't mind it, mainly because it ceased to matter.
The vet phoned about a kitten she had and asked us to come have a look. Boo was quite thrilled about the prospect, I was less than. We went the second time the vet phoned and Boo couldn't say no. So meet Lilac whose coloring and temperament is the opposite of my beloved Buddah, which I'm told is a good thing.
Lilac thought she'd play peek-a-boo at 6:30 a.m. Not exactly what I had
in mind for a Saturday morning, especially after walking on my head,
nibbling on my fingers and meowing at the top of her lungs at 2:30 a.m.
I had hoped to sleep in till 8:00 a.m. Silly me!
I have anxiously awaited completion of my community's two story library. The grand opening is slated for autumn 2008, and from the looks of it we're on schedule, which isn't soon enough for me
...is a big hit. My neighborhood location is small and cramped, the line leads outside after ten folks are in line!
The most striking thing I noticed upon entering is how many people were texting. They weren't talking but texting at a furious pace
I haven't overcome the sadness & pain of losing my little guy Buddah. It hasn't gotten easier. Feel empty.
...perfect for a brisk walk and exercise. It's been so hot that it's been counter productive! I'm a cool weather convert who's learned her lesson. Amazing what I miss when I'm driving. Apparently the film crew will be back Thursday and Friday to film at a local park and the publics not invited, how rude is that?
Film crews have been in the area for the past two weeks, so it's not like it's such a surprise. We get filming in the neighborhood quite often because of the Craftsman style houses and very large two story houses. For me it's more of a nuisance because their trailers take all the parking and cause lookie-loos.
The effects of the wildfire burning in the Angelus Forest have reached my neighborhood some 10 miles southwest. It's another scorched day with temps in the mid-90s and my heart goes out to the firefighters.
I added it a moment ago but am not very happy with its position. I wish I could move it just below the About Me section instead where its presently located at the bottom. Anyone know if this is possible and, if so, how to do it?
What are your neighbors like? (The ones you live near or next to, not the ones in your Vox neighborhood!)
They're actually quite friendly and likable. Those across the street always greet with a smile and wave. If I'm not home they will greet the UPS/FedEx driver and sign for my packages. This is a very nice and welcome touch indeed.
