The Housing Market
Boo and I were driving through our city today and we're amazed at the number of houses for sale (not to mention for rent) and the attempts to grab attention.
These two houses are on the same street about ten houses from each other. Seeing the banner from a distance
we thought they were welcoming home a soldier from Iraq.
I mistook this house for a used auto sales lot because they usually use the colorful streamers to attract car buyers. I thought it rather strange to have a commercial business nestled in a residential area and then realized it was a house for sale!
Yep, housing sales are taking longer, the foreclosures are rising and it is now a buyers market. Los Angeles is one of the priciest markets in the country and I know this downturn will not lost long, at least I hope not. Our friend was telling us about looking at new developments in Riverside County and being offered a 5 Day Cruise if they bought now. Others were offering American-made compact cars!
