How are you spending New Year's Eve?
We're dining in and enjoying a delicious roast, drinking sparkling pear and watching Next. We will be safe at home enjoying each others company and tomorrow celebrate with family.

What's the best gift you received this year?
Nobuku's continued recovery, he's still not his old self yet and of course, the Toyota Camry.
How are you spending Christmas Day?
We've eaten ham, potato salad and too many sweets to mention. Played Rummikub and Tri-ominos and watched Mr. Bean's Holiday, which caused us to laugh even more. Now that sun's set we're simply keeping warm and relaxing.
Our portion of tonight's meal is prepared and packed.
All the presents are wrapped and packed.
We're sure we haven't forgotten anyone or anything (we've done this on occasion, though we're trying to reform).
We have the gas tank filled.
Jackets in the trunk.
Two movie rentals in case someone wants to watch: The Bourne Ultimatum or Mr. Bean's Holiday.
The kids (cats) are fed and everything's turned off.
So off to celebrate Christmas Eve we go!
The neighbors have gone to El Paso, Texas for the holidays and again we're house sitting two dwellings and kitty sitting one cat.
By the time Emmitt (who should've been named Emma) warms up to us they'll return and all the cajoling will be for naught! LOL As long as mom's home she'll cease to notice us until next year when we do it again.
Cats are funny, aren't they? They see someone practically everyday and still they may or may not warm up to you. Some days I exist in Emmitt's world and others I'm .... invisible.
Where have the shoppers gone?
I've been to two malls, Sam's Club and Wal*Mart and not had a problem finding parking on the first try. Heck, I even parked near the door!
All the cashiers were open which made the buying experience all the more pleasant. I found what I needed, in the size and colors wanted. What gives?
This is the final weekend folks, get moving!
