That would be Zero 7's In the Waiting Line
... birthday today and had a great time, save for everyone hacking and sneezing. At one point I quipped that I was the only one not sick. It's not necessarily the flu but an upper respiratory virus that's going around and doing everyone in. A lot of folks have called out sick at the office and I'm sure more will be ill this week, I'm just hoping I can ride this out and be well!
I began as a Mac user and then switched very early when Apple all but priced me out of the market in the eighties. After this year's announcements and unveiling it's clear Apple hasn't lost its knack for creating gorgeous devices that make everyone salivate. Does this mean I'll be switching back soon?
No.
How do you feel about your birthday? Do you look forward to it and remind all your friends, or do you dread it and try to keep it a secret?
I look forward to my birthday and love celebrating it. I don't announce it though, as I've had way too much experience with folks who literally count down the days, making me want to "skip" their celebration!
We have two gals that are constantly at wits end with each other.
One snitches to our manager about the other, bypassing our supervisor.
The supervisor is becoming angrier each day with the obvious lack of respect.
The other gal is being reprimanded almost daily about one thing or another because of the snitch.
And on and on it goes daily.
I would've thought it would be old by now - it isn't.
What do you do with the cards and letters you receive? Do you keep them all, just keep the photos, throw them away?
Inspired by jacolily.
Photos are kept and placed in safe place. Cards are generally discarded, unless they contain a special sentiment.
What are you most grateful for in your life right now?

The general health and well-being of all my loved ones (including Nobuku). We're very fortunate to be so blessed. Truly fortunate.
Today was an absolutely fabulous day. We arose early, did some laundry, ran errands and spent the rest of the day just having fun outdoors. This is what we've needed after three weeks of semi-funky and at times rainy weather. Sunshine always lifts my spirit and revitalizes me.
I may be one of those people that needs sunlight to maintain balance. I can't think of what the condition is called but it's in the medical books, some folks become depressed or have their moods significantly altered when there's not enough sunshine.
Either way, I had a glorious day!

Prayer, positive, love, spirituality, conscience.
So how is everyone doing on keeping their resolutions of working towards achieving their goals? I have been making slow progress but take pride in the positive motion forward. Slow isn't as bad as not making any momentum, right? At least this is what I keep telling myself.
One thing I've changed this year is making the decision to not read the Bible this year. I've read it daily for the past three years and have decided to read daily devotionals instead. I received a new devotional book this Christmas and felt that reading devotionals might improve my understanding and relationship with God.
Of course, I have experienced some guilt about not reading the Bible, but always ask myself if it's genuine guilt or the loss of routine? I still don't have an answer so I will forge ahead with my daily devotionals.
