How do you feel about your birthday? Do you look forward to it and remind all your friends, or do you dread it and try to keep it a secret?
I look forward to my birthday and love celebrating it. I don't announce it though, as I've had way too much experience with folks who literally count down the days, making me want to "skip" their celebration!
What do you do with the cards and letters you receive? Do you keep them all, just keep the photos, throw them away?

Photos are kept and placed in safe place. Cards are generally discarded, unless they contain a special sentiment.
What are your rituals or traditions for starting off a new year?
Remaining home on the eve, celebrating with family on the holiday and reading the Bible daily from the first of the year and throughout. If the saying "how you celebrate the New Year determines how you'll spend it" is true then mine should be a relatively calm and quiet one, which is just fine with me!
Who is ringing in the New Year with you? Who do you wish could be with you, but isn't there? I rang it in with Boo and wish my deceased sister Alice could be with me. I'm celebrating with family this afternoon as we like to stay off the road on the eve.
What is your daily commute like? What is the weirdest thing you've seen on that commute?

It's a thirty minute commute at the most, via side streets because the freeway would easily add twenty minutes to it! The weirdest thing I've seen is a County General hospital worker dressed in scrubs, running southbound along the center of Mission Rd. (a major six lane street), waving her arms frantically as she tried to save a German Shepard that was confused and almost struck several times. To this day I wonder if her and the dog are safe.

Boo will be shocked that I actually fessed up to this!
I never ever walk barefoot outdoors. All I can think about is how many people have spat or peed on the sidewalk, etc. I know the germs die the moment they're exposed to air but this is an irrational fear, right????

It started with a final baseball game for the season and the Dodgers winning 8 - 5. Go Dodgers! We bought a lot of merchandise since everything was 35% off and are ready for next season.
Today brings Charlie's final vet appointment for his series of shots. This should be interesting since he's such a puppy and trying to be a big boy - he's quite funny actually. We'll visit with my mom and have a great dinner and then watch one of two movies
rented.
What's the best thing you ever bought off of Ebay or Craigslist?
From eBay iPod accessories and hard to find Uno game versions!
