As of 9:00 a.m. today Verizon had successfully solved my SMS issues at work. I can now send/receive text messages while at work and all the Verizon corporate customers were happy. Everyone began texting each other throughout corporate that we were up and breathing a collective sigh of relief.
Since Email-gate 2007 texting is our sole outlet and if we can't do that, how the hell are we supposed to survive???
I must say that Verizon showed excellent follow up, if occasionally slow at times. They phoned me back after hours when they said they would. They were patient and excellent about identifying themselves and disclosing their location. I have no intention of defecting even though I am no longer under contract.
Kudos, Verizon!!
These two houses are on the same street about ten houses from each other. Seeing the banner from a distance
we thought they were welcoming home a soldier from Iraq.
I mistook this house for a used auto sales lot because they usually use the colorful streamers to attract car buyers. I thought it rather strange to have a commercial business nestled in a residential area and then realized it was a house for sale!
Yep, housing sales are taking longer, the foreclosures are rising and it is now a buyers market. Los Angeles is one of the priciest markets in the country and I know this downturn will not lost long, at least I hope not. Our friend was telling us about looking at new developments in Riverside County and being offered a 5 Day Cruise if they bought now. Others were offering American-made compact cars!
During our commute this morning we witnessed a cyclist commuting in one of
the busiest sections of downtown Los Angeles. I was mortified as I watched
him switch in and out of lanes with buses, big rigs and countless SUV
drivers. I felt myself flinching and heard Boo gasped as a bus approached and
sandwiched him in the right lane. I know I do not have the courage and
nerves to cycle to work, regardless environmental concerns, do any of you
cycle to work? And if so, do you have a story to share?
Cruisng the streets of L.A. during lunch. This is a corridor of the Alley, where hundreds shop daily for the best bargains in knock off items. It was unbelievably crowded and all we did was drive by. Parking spaces are non-existent and in sections of the Alley I felt like like I was in a foreign country. If I ever return, which I doubt, I'll snap shots of what I'm talking about.
